Gildan Ultra Cotton Adult T-Shirts (2000)
The Gildan Ultra Cotton 2000 is one of the heavier blanks in the Gildan range at 203gsm, made from 100% ring-spun cotton in a preshrunk jersey knit. The extra weight gives it a dense, substantial feel — the kind of tee that holds its structure without draping too loosely, and that feels like it can take heavy use and repeated washing without thinning out. The ring-spun cotton keeps the surface smooth despite the heavier weight, so prints sit cleanly.
A seamless double-needle 7/8″ collar sits close to the neck without feeling tight, and taped neck and shoulder seams reinforce the interior. Double-needle stitching on the sleeves and bottom hem handles the stress points. The body is quarter-turned to eliminate the centre crease, and a tear-away label allows for clean removal when relabelling. Several colours use cotton-polyester blends — the heathered options (indigo, sapphire, navy, dark heather) run at 50/50, RS Sport Grey at 90/10, and Antique Royal has its own blend — so fibre content varies across the range.
Available in 15 colours spanning solids, heathered tones, and deeper shades. Size ranges vary by colour: white, black, navy, and RS Sport Grey go up to 5XL; red, charcoal, royal, and dark heather up to 3XL; and military green, heather navy, and heather sapphire up to 2XL. A heavyweight workhorse for screen printing, branded merchandise, or staff uniforms where durability and a thicker hand feel are the priority.
