The Gildan Heavy Cotton 5000 uses a 50/50 cotton-polyester blend at 180gsm, which gives it a different character from pure cotton blanks. The polyester content helps the shirt hold its shape better after washing, resists shrinkage, and reduces wrinkling — while the cotton side keeps the feel soft and comfortable against the skin. The blended fabric also tends to hold dye more evenly, which shows in the muted, tonal colour range this particular set offers.

A seamless double-needle 7/8″ collar sits neatly without bunching, paired with taped neck and shoulder seams for a reinforced interior. Double-needle stitching on the bottom hem handles stretch and wear. The body is quarter-turned to eliminate the centre crease, and a tear-away label allows for clean relabelling.
